Privacy policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains which personal data I collect on wellnessbymirian.com, why, and what rights you have. It is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible

Mirian Barea, Wellness by Mirian

Email: mirian@wellnessbymirian.com

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by Wix.com Ltd., 40 Namal Tel Aviv St., Tel Aviv 6350671, Israel. When you visit the site, Wix processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, the pages you visit and the time of your visit. This is needed to show the website safely and reliably. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

The European Commission has confirmed that Israel offers an adequate level of data protection. Where Wix uses service providers in other countries, such as the USA, it relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU standard contractual clauses. I have a data processing agreement with Wix.

3. Cookies and consent

The website uses cookies that are necessary for it to work (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). All other cookies, for example for statistics or marketing, are only set if you agree in the cookie banner (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings on the website. To manage your choice, I use the consent tool Usercentrics (Usercentrics GmbH, Sendlinger Straße 7, 80331 Munich, Germany). It stores your consent decision, an anonymous ID and the date and time of your choice (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7 (1) GDPR).

4. Contact form and email

If you write to me via the contact form or by email, I process your name, email address and message to answer your request. Legal basis: steps before a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or my legitimate interest in answering your message (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). I delete your data when your request is fully answered, unless legal retention periods apply.

5. Free consultation form and health information

For the free online consultation, I ask for your name, email address and date of birth, and about your goals, training, nutrition, stress level, health concerns and injuries. I use this only to prepare your consultation and, if we work together, your coaching.

Health information is a special category of personal data. I only process it with your explicit consent (Art. 9 (2) (a) GDPR), which you give with the checkbox in the form. All other data is processed for steps before a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by email, with effect for the future. If we don’t start working together, I delete your answers within six months after the consultation.

6. Arrive waitlist and emails

If you join the Arrive waitlist, I process your first name and email address to send you news about Arrive, a retreat by Mirian. You confirm your sign-up via a link in an email (double opt-in). I store the time of your sign-up and confirmation as proof. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

The emails are sent with Wix Email Marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email or by writing to me. I then delete your data from the list.

7. Links to social media

The website links to my profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn. These are simple links. No data is sent to these platforms until you click on them. After that, their own privacy policies apply.

8. How long I keep your data

I keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.

9. Your rights

You have the right to get information about your data (Art. 15 GDPR), have it corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), have it deleted (Art. 17 GDPR), restrict its processing (Art. 18 GDPR), receive it in a common format (Art. 20 GDPR), object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR) and withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).

Just write to mirian@wellnessbymirian.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

10. Changes

I update this policy when my website or the law changes. The current version is always on this page.
